Hi, I want to make my career as SAP Consultant. Can anyone help me about that? How can I start?

Лучшие ответы:

If you are an IT Fresher/Experienced and good in technical you can opt for SAP ABAP certification. It is nothing but technical language used in SAP generally for creating reports and customization. It is also good since u will get to learn about other modules in SAP as well.

Incase you are a Non IT graduate with a minimum 2 years of experience in a particular field you can go for certification for a SAP Module related to your field. For Example: A person working in SALES for 2 (or more) years can go for SAP SD(Sales and Distribution). Similarly a person in Finance Field can go for SAP FICO(Finace and Controlling). Experience here is important to understand the various jargons related to the field. As a Non IT fresher you might not get anything in SAP.

The cost of certification is Rs: 3.5L (varies for various SAP Partners)
Hopes this information helps.

The recommendation that all SAP consultants give every time is this - get SAP experience before doing courses/certification - if necessary get an end-user job with a company that uses SAP, try to become a senior user in the company, then try to get a job within their SAP team. Get a couple of years experience (using courses paid for by the company if possible), and only try for certification when you have the SAP experience to pass it. Then you can consider getting an entry level consultant role.

Patience is the key, it takes years to become a consultant and it is difficult to get into. Focus on a domain where you already have non-SAP experience, and look for a suitable SAP module that matches it (e.g. Finance [SAP ECC FI], HR [SAP ECC HR], procurement [SAP ECC MM and SAP SRM], customer service [SAP CRM], software engineering [SAP ABAP] etc).

DONT believe training institutes that tell you that you will be guaranteed a consultancy job when you're SAP certified, because you are guaranteed NOT to be able to get a consultancy job without real-world SAP experience.

Research this on LinkedIn and you will see the hundreds of SAP-certified "freshers" who cannot find work because they do not have any SAP experience.
