Best Practice for AiF Queries 2
Hi.
I have a query composed of an AIF Service which contains following tables CustTable->XXXTable->EmplTable->DirPartyECommRelShip->DirEComAddr Now I need another service for another purposes which starts with the first 3 tables, but ends with the Adress table. Should I create a separate Query or should I use the first Query and expand it with the Adress table? (And turn on the required fields in the Endpoints (see Best Practice for AiF Queries Best Practice for AiF Queries)) Regards ideveloper |

You can create your own query, but based on his AIF Service.

Hi.
Thank you for your answer. Could you tell me please, how to do it. I have not seen any possibilities to inherit the existing Query??? Regards ideveloper |

No, there's no such possibility. Just copy-paste.
I have custom class to simplify keeping data policies on Endpoint in sync for such cases.

Thank you for your replies
Sergikrus: I am familar with this method. It is simple to use. But I was hoping, that there is a possibility to inherit the queries and throw away tables which are not needed. If I duplicate a Query and create a service with the AiF-Wizard I get new Classes according to the new Query which have the same functionality like the Classes from the "Parent"-Query. It is not only the Query which is duplicated, there are Classes too. |
