Whidbey and Yukon Looking Like 'Year-End' Products Now
Reading Microsoft's delivery-date tea leaves can be a subtle art. But when the Redmondians start talking about Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 as "end of year" deliverables, rather than "late summer" products, you can bet that there's some slippage occurring. The new question becomes if a product releases to manufacturing in Q4 2005, wouldn't it make more sense to christen it a "2006" release?
